Personal practice and experience are always the foundation for yoga and mindfulness teaching. Grounded in our own experience of practice and being a student, we become ready and able to share what we have learned with our students and clients.This retreat is designed to be both an enriching personal experience, and a teacher training on how to utilise and adapt yoga and mindfulness to support mental health and wellness. Drawing on their combined wealth of experience as mental health and health care practitioners, and as yoga and mindfulness practitioner-trainers, Lisa and Karen will offer tuition and experience with yoga and mindfulness practices to facilitate your own growth and transformation, and to increase your confidence and capacity, teaching students who are experiencing stress, anxiety, and depression.
An example of a typical day's schedule: Opening meditation practice followed by breakfast and 3 hours of yoga, meditation,mindfulness practices (and lecture). After lunch, there will be free time, afternoon yoga/mindfulness meditation, more free time and then dinner (with optional evening activities)
